Description

We always needed coffee to fight hangovers in the morning when we had had a little too much to drink the night before. But now, the need is not restricted to just that; we need coffee every morning to get our minds active.

Either to make yourself a cup in the morning or to enjoy one on cold nights, choosing a coffee flavor that is a treat to your taste buds is important. The naturally processed Brazil Salmo Plus is one of the best coffees around. It has a mild acidity and treats you with the flavors of granola, raisins, and milk chocolate.

The Cerrado region in Brazil is famous for its ideal coffee-raising conditions, and Brazil Salmo Plus is a blend of coffees purely from the Cerrado region. The coffee follows a full sun-drying process of 2 to 7 days (or more, if required) followed by mechanical drying for optimum results. The best coffees are homogenized, and Brazil Salmo Plus is put to rest in wood boxes for 30 days to serve this purpose after drying.

Brazil Salmo Plus is Ny2/3 and Scr 16+, ensuring high-quality with rechecks, screening, and elimination of defects. The consistent coffee gives you a crisp and velvety feel in your mouth with a subtle spice like a floral pink peppercorn. Its primary aroma is roasted hazelnut butter combined with a secondary one of milk chocolates and dates. Order it once, and you will most likely make it your default home blend.

Our Brazil Salmo Plus Natural is a blend of 100% Cerrado region coffees from 12 producers. The coffee was purchased at farm-gate and processed by Volcafe Santos, our sister company in Brazil, in their facility in Varginha, Minas Gerais.

In the Brazil the natural process means ripe and raisin cherries are collected, cleaned and separated by weight at washing stations. The pre-drying process occurs under the sun between 2 to 7 days or more (farmers favor full sun dried process whenever possible) and finalized in mechanical driers followed by 30 days of resting in wood boxes to homogenize the dry coffee.

The Cerrado Region

Cerrado de Minas is located in the northwest of Minas Gerais state. The region is a big plateau where predominant topography is flat to slightly wavy. The altitude varies from 900 to 1250 meters above sea level.

The combination of well-defined seasons, abundant sunlight throughout the year, advanced farming techniques and entrepreneurial spirit forged the pillars that sustain Cerrado as we know today.

Cerrado also has one of the most complex and diverse regions in the world. The area is home to roughly 5% of all species on earth.
